Will the state extradite a minor for a probation violation?

Probation officer violates minors probation for non-payment of restitution and marijuana use (failed drug test). Ordered by court to go to inpatient drug rehab. Minor leaves the state prior to report date. Will ME extradite if not in a neighboring state?
All of the 50 states tend to respect, and cooperate with, each other on extradition requests. However, such requests tend to be over the serious, felony charges. What will likely happen is an arrest warrant will be issued for the minor. Most times the warrants are not actively acted upon (like a search party looking for the minor) but passively acted upon (like taken in if stopped for traffic infraction and they run your name and the warrant pops up). If there is any way that you can convince the child to come home and face the music it will be better for him or her in the long run. Good luck.
