Will I be extradited on an intent to distribute **** case?

Question Details:

I was arrested for possession of opiates with intent to distribute in MT -- the amount is small and I had very little money. Would MT extradite me from HI if I were to flee?

If you've been charged with that offense, it's a felony, and there's a very good chance that a fugitive warrant would issue, and you could be extradited from Hawaii just as easily (aside from the cost of the plane tickets) as from any other state.

Whether or not the Montana authorities would actually do that, I don't know.  But I certainly would not count on it not happening, and arrests on fugitive warrants have a way of happening at the worst possible times.  And, if you had to be extradited to stand trial, you can count on the prosecution being at least as hostile as it would have been otherwise.
