Question Details:
I was beaten up by Pennsauken police and the lawyer I hired took my money and said I have proof but never handled my case. I now have a screw in my left wrist, no job, no money, and a life of problems and bills.

I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law. I suggest that you locate another lawyer to get involved in your case. I am not sure why you paid a lawyer in the first place, as he shoudl be taking this case on a contingency fee basis (i.e. he collects 1/3 of what you collect). Make sure that you bring all your medical bills to the lawyer and any reports. If no one will take your case, you can file the case yourself. If you cannot afford your bills anymore, you may want to consider filing bankruptcy.
