Who is responsible for buying hurricane shutters?
Question Details: I am renting a single family home. There are no tropical systems approaching that require the use of shutters, but as it is not discussed in my lease, I would like to talk to my landlord regarding shutters in advance of needing them. I just wanted to know if I was responsible for buying shutters, or plywood, or if that is something the landlord is required to purchase prior to my bringing up the conversation.
No one is required to buy them. The LL will probably tell you that if you want them, buy them. They are fixtures and you will not be able to remove them when you leave. This could have been discussed prior to leasing.
