I don't think it's a problem in this instance.  Your actual residence isn't important, because there's no issue about the court's jurisdiction, and venue (which court is the proper place to try the case) is fixed by the location of the rental property.  So all you're doing with your address, really, is providing the court and the defendant with your contact information for paperwork in the case.

A short telephone call to the court clerk's office should confirm this, and save you time (and an extra trip to the courthouse) just in case your court is a bit more picky (and yes, it can happen).
