Question Details: I WAS ARRESTED FOR DRUGS, I WENT TO MENTAL HEALTH COURT WAS SENT BACK TO **** COURT JUDGE GAVE ME TWO OPTIONS EITHER WAY I WAS GOUNG TO JAIL HALFWAY HOUSE OR **** REHAB. SHE SENT ME HOME TO THINK IT OVER I WAS SUPPOSE TO GO TO COURT THE NEXT DAY NEVER WENT.
I'd work on the assumption that there is an active criminal warrant out for your arrest, and that you can be extradited to DC if you're caught in Maryland or elsewhere.
This isn't likely to "just go away by itself" any time soon. I'd strongly recommend that you talk to an attorney, about the best way to go back to court voluntarily, because that is how you will be able to keep the consequences of your failure to appear to a minimum. I can't tell you it will be good news, but if you get arrested and extradited, it will be quite a bit worse.
