The best kind of lawyer for this would be what's called an intellectual property (IP) attorney. However, since IP is a broad category--it includes patents, copyright, trademarks and tradenames, and unfair competition--you should look for an attorney who regularly handles copyright cases; this will probably not be a patent lawyer, since patents are a specialized sub-category of IP. Additionally, if posssible, find an attorney who handles your type of copyright: for example, copyright itself covers music, graphic arts, the written word (e.g. stories), and software; since each presents its own issues, ideally, have a lawyer experienced in your area.
