What steps can I take when my right to vote is taken away from me?

Question Details:

My right to vote was taken away from me when a police officer took my ID. Is there anything I can do seeing as I have the right to vote and no one is suppose to be able to take that away from me? I live in Ohio and they require you have a picture ID when you go into the voting booths and because the cop took mine I was unable to vote.

Dear Voter:  Contact the Civil Liberties Union in your city.  Most large cities have a representative or office.  They are specialists in this kind of matter.

Good luck.
