What state should I contact a lawyer from?
Question Details: I am under worker's comp of Alabama. I live in Tennessee. I am dissatisfied with the treatment from the doctor and with the way worker's comp is dealing with getting me a second opinion. The doctor is in Tennessee. Do I need to talk to a lawyer from Alabama or one from Tennessee?

You should select an attorney who is familiar with Alabama workers' compensation law. It would be preferable to have an attorney who is a member of the Alabama Bar because if the Tennessee attorney is not licensed in Alabama (member of Alabama Bar) that may present some problems in the attorney representing you in court in Alabama.
