It depends on whether the particular charge is a felony or misdemeanor and what class of felony it is. A Class A felony is 15 years. A Class B felony is 8 years. If it involves defrauding the state or tax returns, the statute of limitations is 6 years. A Class C or D felony is 4 years. Class E felony is 2 years. Any other is 3 years. A misdemeanor is 12 months.
