Frankly, you really need to consult with a DUI attorney in your area on this. A DUI triggers both a civil and criminal case. And you don't want a record if you can help it. Possibly an experienced attorney could get the charge thrown out on a technicality or at least get it reduced.
If you can't afford one see if you qualify for representation by the PD or Legal Aid. Additionally, law schools run clinics that handle these type cases. Also, contact your local county Bar Association; they have lists of attorneys who might take a case such as this "pro bono" (that is they volunteer to work for free).
