I have a misdemeanor stalking conviction and am thinking about moving to another state. According to the law of my prospective new state, stalking is punishable by a felony charge. When asked by employers can I say I have a misdemeanor stalking and not a felony?

If you plead or where convicted of a misdemeanor.  It is always a misdemeanor, period.  What another state considers a felony is not relevent.

So, when you are asked by your employeer.  Your answer is that you were convicted of a misdemeanor.

Hope this helps.
