What fine will I get for a first offence DUI where an accident occurred but did not involve another vehilce or person?

Question Details: I was arrested for DUI in an accident that did not involve another vehicle and suffered minor injuries. I was hospitalized temporarily(less than one day) and released to my parents instead of being booked. If I plead guilty and do not get an attorney what will my fine likely be?

Frankly, you really need to consult with a DUI attorney in your area on this.  A DUI triggers both a civil and criminal case.  And you don't want a record if you can help it.  Possibly an experienced attorney could get the charge thrown out on a technicality or at least get it reduced.

In the meantime, here's a link to site that I think you will find to be of help:  http://www.courtinfo.ca.gov/selfhelp/traffic/info.htm

As for the fine, since an accident was involved, you should probablyplan on a fine of around $1,000 or so; there is no set amount, each case is looked at differently.
