what can i do to my lawyer HE made my SS and my DL A MATTER OF OPEN RECORD JUST BECAUSE HE WAS IN A HURRY AND FORGOT TO BLACK IT OUT
Question Details:
I agree with the other posting attorney. You need to have a face to face meeting with your attorney and express your concerns and ask him that he fix the problem and/or agree to fix the problem in the future, if there is identity theft.

Good luck.

Theoretically, you could sue him, but as of right now, you don't have any real damages that I can see. However, if the disclosure caused you actual financial harm in the future, and you could prove the connection, you'd have a more worthwhile case.
I'd suggest a more practical approach for right now: ask the lawyer to fix the problem. Let him know that you take this very seriously, and that you regard it as his mistake -- but try not to be confrontational. The lawyer should get the message.
