My research suggests that refusal of a breathalyzer test in your state results in a 1-year license suspension. On the plus side, if you go to trial, the prosecutuion will not have the test results to offer as proof, although other test results may be entered (i.e. filed sobriety tests). However, such a refusal could double your insurance rates.
Frankly, at this point you should consult with a DUI attorney in your area.
