I am a lawyer in CT and practice int his area of the law. I suggest hiring a lawyer to draft a letter to allstate asking whether the claim is acepted and when payment will be forthcoming. if there is no response i would instruct the lawyer to file a bad faith claim as there is no basis for the insurance company not to cover the loss. The legal action should get the response that resolves this matter.
