If you fail to correct your lease violation within the 3 days, the landlord files an eviction lawsuit in court. The landlord must file a Complaint and have you served with the Complaint and Summons. You have the right to file with the court an Answer to the Complaint (usually within 5 days of being served). The Summons will specify a court hearing date. Note that if you fail to answer the Complaint, a default judgment can be entered against you (money awarded and eviction).

If you appear at the court hearing, one of several things can happen: (1) You can agree to vacate the premises within 48 hours and agree to a payment plan for rent owed; (2) You and the landlord can work out an agreement that would allow you to remain in your apartment; (3) If you filed an answer contesting the landlord's claim, another hearing date is set within 5 days.

It depends on how quickly the court can have these hearings, but you may have anywhere from 5 to 15 days before you have to move out. You could have more days depending on the outcome of your case.
