What are the available options for an individual that has been charged with premeditated attempted murder?

First of all, if the family has no money, they will need to retain a Public Defender to represent the Defendant.  Second, no attorney can tell you what a "good defense angle" would be without having reviewed the evidence in the case.  If the Defendant has not already done so, he needs to speak with someone in the Public Defender's office right away.
