What are avarage bodily injury cost for soft tissue in low impact accidents in CA?
I was in rear-ended accident in fault in CA. the impact was low. From full stop going to 4 or 5 feet. There were youth in car in back seats and an adult driving. No injuries for kids. The adult driver might have claimed for soft tissue injury. It is the 7th month & the case is not closed with insurance company. The accident was very small and front car trunk got small dented. I had a compact Toyota Camry and the front car was a SUV. I have 30/60 and woried what is going on. What is estimated cost in such cases? Are there ways to protect myself more?

There is no estimated cost.  Every case is different.  If the accident was your fault, you should be asking your insurance company what the status of the case is, such as their claimed medical bills, etc.
