Wedding photograhper claimed loptop with wedding pictures was stolen; then furnished me with the stolen pictures and demanded more cash for the rest.

Question Details:

Delivered my CD with 26 pics (throughout wedding that were supposed to be stolen) in a bag to my place of employment. Then emailed me stating that she has more pics. If I want them I will have to pay up front; no ifs, ands, or buts. I have emails from the start showing how this lady lied to and threatened me.

Criminal Defense Law Answers

Based upon the facts that you have provided, it sounds as if the wedding photographer may have exposed herself to liability for several crimes, including but limited to criminal harassment and/or extortion.   I suggest that you maintain documentation of all of the photographer's conduct (such as her emails, etc.) and report this matter to the police.  Once the police investigate, they may be able to help you remedy this situation.  Good luck.
