We rented a house for 7 months and took extrodinary care. Two months after we moved out he sayes there are damages we owe for.
Question Details: We two, rented a spec house from the builder who was building our new house. We only used 1 of the three bedrooms and 2 of the 3 baths. We covered all the carpet and did not use the microwave or trash compactor. In other words, we went to great lengths to take care of the house. Right before we moved we cut the grass and a rock flew up and broke a window. That was the only damage. Now he is charging us 2 months later for that and a stain on the compactor and a stain on the garage floor and a hole in the floor somewhere and cleaning bills. The place was very clean. What should we do?
Did you get any photos of the place before you moved out? What does the lease say about damages? I need more information. Feel free to email me at sean@roadlawyer.net or call me at 913 441 5025 if you want to discuss this further.
