We have found a copy of my mothers will after 26 years, is it still good? Also does it have to go through probate?

If your mother passed away 26 years ago, her estate has long since been closed out, I'm sure.  So the will doesn't have to be probated.  Of course, if looking at the will, and then looking at how her estate was distributed, and then looking at where the will was hiding all those years, something seems fishy, I'd have a lawyer take a look at the situation, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.  It's almost certainly far too late to challenge anything that was done during Ronald Reagan's first term as President.
