We got a couch from rent a center infested with bed bugs can we sue?

Question Details: we werent warned of bed bugs when we purchased the couch we bought from a cash and carry choice and soon enough bed bugs are in my house we had to throw away our brand new bed because they traveled and infested our bed we dont know what to do hopefully this can help give us some answers

I think you need to talk to an attorney about this.  It sounds to me like you have a case, although your lawyer will want to review all of the facts, to give you reliable advice.

In most states, there is an implied warranty under the law, that a product being sold is reasonably fit for its intended use.  I'd say bedbugs violate that warranty, although there probably aren't a lot of precedents for that lately -- although there very well might be some coming.  These pests have resurfaced in the last few years, and have become a very large problem.
