What to do if we apparently have a water line that is running through someone else's property that has ruptured?
Question Details: We are trying to determine who's responsibility it is to repair the line. It on this person's property, and the city laid it, so how is it that we must repair it?
If you get the use of the water through the water line that goes through another person's property via an easement that benefits your property then under the laws of all states in this country since you have the benefit of the easement you are obligated to make the repairs out of your own pocket.
