Want to confirm if this is assault
Question Details: During an argument my wife kept talking loudly for a long time approx 40 mins. I could not tolerate anymore, so i closed both my ears with my hands. She pulled my hands apart violently. I shouted at her saying "Don't hurt my hands". She replied "Listen to me then". I said "I don't want to listen to you. I want to close my ears." Is this an assault? Can i file harassment restraining order against her? I have audio recording of the event when it happened.
