Question Details: Verizon owes me a small amount of money from an old closed DSL account for 8 months. They send statements showing the credit. After fighting with them I recieved a letter in October 09 stating they are going to send me a check. I did not get it and when I call I am transfered to 6 clue less people. I mailed a letter to FCC and have contacted Maryland CP. Please advise. Thank You.

You've done what you should about contacting government agenices. At this time, if Verizon isn't paying, your only other option would be to bring a lawsuit against them for the money. Given that even small claims court does have some costs (plus your time), as a practical matter, unless you're talking over $300, it's probably best to simply forget about it--that's unfair, but there are cost-effective ways to recover small amounts. Possibly your accountant can find some way to claim the money as a loss or deduction on your taxes and get some benefit.
