Unemployment appeal that has been postponed by the employer's represenative
Question Details: I had a appealed a decsion by unemployment. A telephone hearing was scheduled. During the 1st 8 questions to me by the Unemployment person, the employer's represenative stated he had to go to the doctor and we postponed. I faxed a letter stating my objection to the postponement. It's been 4 weeks and I haven't got another hearing scheduled. I haven't got any income and nothing from unemployment. How long can the postponement be?
Generally these hearings are rescheduled sooner than 4 weeks. You need to call the phone number on the Notice of Hearing and ask the Deputy Clerk for the Hearing officer - they are the ones who reschedule the hearings.
