Unable to get a job due to criminal past

Question Details: I have a few issues on my background, so when a company says they do background checks I tend to shy away from applying. Where can I go to find out if there are companies that dont require a background check or where they hire people with problem backgrounds. I have held quite a few positions in the past with no problems untill recently. I dont have a job at this time. I am a female, approx 50 yrs old, have alot of experience in many fields.

As to what companies don't do background checks or those that hire people with criminal backgrounds, these are not legal issues.  So I can offer no direct help.  Possibly you could contact  a state probation office in your area; they have experience in assisting with employment for people with criminal records.

As for your criminal record, perhaps some of it may be "expunged" (cleared) from your record.  I have provided links to sites that explain further:

Best of luck.
