To save money, should I waive an amended accounting and simply enter into a settlement agreement?

Do not waive the accounting until you have sought legal probate  counsel; saving money based upon no experience with probate matters may cost you significantly. Money is not the object here; your rightful share of the probate as an heir is the object here.
