To divorce a woman who married for Green Card in California

Question Details: I married a woman in February 2009, who is getting her legal permanent resident status. We are scheduled for an interview next week. By now it is clear that she doesnt want to have anything to do with me - I was mostly in hospital and nursing home since March 2009 and she couldn't care less about me and my situation. (she was verbally abusive when i was bedridden and neighbors can confirm this, i am 67 she is 56) How can dissolve the marriage as soon as and as painlessly as possible. There is no property, kids, money etc to divide. Thanks Noah

It sounds as if you may qualify for a summary dissolution. If you have discovered recently that your wife may have married you merely to obtain a Green card, you may be entited to an annulment. You should contact an attorney.
