The place where I worked is self insured. They have fought me every step of the way for almost 11 years. My lawyer says I'm out of options.

Question Details: Am I. He says because they stopped paying my medical bills and paying for my prescriptions, I am going to have a hard time fighting this. It has been 11 years. They want proof that I need more medical attention, which requires a letter from my doctor. He wants $400.00 dollars for this. I live on social security, I can't afford that. In the mean time my doctor died. It's hard to find a doctor that will treat me. Help! My lawyer says I don't stand a chance, but, I can't tell that he has really helped me much.
