Summons and legal papers?

Question Details: Hello, My office is for sale and when I visited yesterday, there was a summons outside my locked exterior door naming me as a defendant. I checked with the courts and they said that a proof of service was filed on Sept 24. I wasn't even here then and the office is in a professional park! I don't have the money to fight this erroneous and stupid thing (it involves a disgruntled former employee who believes I am made of money. We have been advised to bankrupt, this is just one more thing. What should I do next?
