I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law.   The short answer is no.  if the owner of the home can prove that the general contractror was paid in full for the job, the subcontractor must sue the contractor and is not able to lien and foreclosure on real estate.  This is known as the lienable defense fund.  i sugest that you hire a lawyer to file an application to discharge the lien on this basis.
