Question Details: I met someone online. We spent some time, he didn't want me to come around, and really is angry that I text him on occasion. Never threatening. I created a false identity to get in touch with him and got on the topic of affairs to which he admitted being with me to my false idendity,. He found out it was me and all I was trying to do was let him know I had changed my ways. Now he is threatening a civil stalker suit, I don't want my family or husband to find out. I don't think he knows where I live or even my last name. What should I do? I promised to never contact him again.
The best advice is to do nothing. In other words, keep your promise to never contact him again. As far as his threat to file a civil stalker suit against you is concerned, what's done is done. You can't take back how you've behaved in the past and how that might be perceived in the context of a civil lawsuit, but with the passage of more and more time without any contact from you his comfort level will increase and the sense that he needs to do something to protect himself will subside. Let him go. Wouldn't you much rather be with someone who wants to be with you?
