What to do if my work product was taken without reimbursement?
Question Details: I own a business that designs and installs stages for churches. I was asked to bid on a job and did enter a quote with my design. My bid was not accepted but the client took my design with very specific drawings and price quotes for equipment and had another company do the work without my permission on my design. Can I sue for intellectual property infringement?
I agree with the previous lawyer. However, you need to take into consideration as to how to prove the idea they are using is your and only yours. I agree with the previous lawyer that you should consult a lawyer in person.
If you drafted a design on a job bid that you were not paid for and your client took your idea without paying you and had a third party draw up the specifics, you have a basis for a legal action for the full amount of your bid. In essence your idea was taken without being paid for. I suggest that you consult with an attorney that practices in the area of business law.
