If my husband and I were separated when he was hospitalized, am I responsible for his medical bills?
Question Details: He is still listed on my insurance and did use it but I never signed any financial liability forms. I am now being sued for this.
Because you were probably not legally separated and he was still on your insurance. Generally speaking, you are obligated for the necessitites of your spouse while he is your spouse and medical bills covers that. Why are you being sued? It may be something that you wish to discuss with your attorney prior to negotiations of asset distribution. Good luck.
