Should I hire a lawyer for a deposition held by a co-defendant?

Question Details:

I am being sued for "permanent physical damages" by somebody who claims I hit her 4+ years ago. I was not involved in this fight that i witnessed and was falsely accused. I went to court for the criminal charge (assault and battery) back when this happened 3 times. The plaintiff failed to show up all 3 times and the case was dismissed. Plaintiff claims she sustained injuries from this fight but never was treated by a doctor. She is also suing the hotel where the incident occurred for negligence. I don't own anything so I'm not sure what they're looking to get out of suing me.

The short answer is that you would be a fool not to retain a lawyer.

You should absolutely speak to an attorney.  This person may have missed the deadline by which to file suit against you, and you will want to hire an attorney to make sure there are no negative consequences for you.  Please feel free to give me a call 617-357-4898.
