DUI / DWI Law Answers

I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law.   most states, like CT, have a look back provision in the DWI statute that says that the state wil ignore a DWI older than 10 years from the 2nd DWI for purposes of a penalty for the offense.  If more than 13 years have past then you may be treated as a first offender.  I suggest hiring a lawyer to determine whether you can be treated as  a first offender.
