Question on alimony

Question Details: My sister was divorced 2 yrs ago and was awarded $700.00 in alimony, but 1 yr ago her ex-spouse refused to pay alimony based on the fact that he was disabled and financially strapped. My sister is mentally challenged and now has become disabled as a result of a nervous breakdown. Can she go to the court and ask them to make the ex pay alimony again?

It is possible, but if she is mentally incompetent she will probably need a guardian appointed first who can sue on her behalf.

If I can be of assistance, please give me a call.
