Payment methods for chapter 13

Question Details: Why do I have to have my employer involved in payments on chapter 13-why can't they take the money out of my personal checking account? I could lose my job if they take the payments out of my payroll. I work in accounting.

It's illegal to fire someone because they filed bankruptcy, or because they are utilizing some aspect of the bankruptcy process.  However, at least in Missouri, it is possible to have the payments made another way than through a wage deduction.  The trustee (here, at least) prefers the wage deduction.
