Legal fees to the lawyer? Administrator? The options are selling the real estate.  Or if you are the sole or joint beneficiary of the properties, to perhaps pull a line of equity or line of credit.

You can certainly attempt to negotiate down the legal fees and pay it in a pay plan if the lawyer will allow it. It depends on the amount of the fees.

Oftentimes, sale of the assets are ordered if there isn't enough cash to cover expenses to administer the estate.  Were there no personal assets involved at all, like furniture, cars, etc?

Perhaps ordering the sale of those items may help offset costs if your intent is to keep the two properties.
