Past employer refuses to pay for missed meal and rest breaks. Refuses to agree on facts of case.

Question Details: Scheduled for formal hearing with California Labor Enforcement Division. What can I expect in hearing? How much informant beyond orignal compliant should I bring? Should I subpeona former co-workers. Not sure of cost and other info regarding that.

You may want to bring witnesses who saw you miss meal and rest breaks, or who also missed them.   You should have already calculated all missed meal and rest breaks and any penalties.  The Labor Commissioner will issue the subpoenas for you but you will have to get someone else to serve them.  Witnesses get a $33 check plus if you don't have a friend serve them, you will pay $20-$40 per person to have a process server serve the subpeonas.
