Our health insurance provider is refusing to provide coverage for our adopted child until he is two (He is due in two weeks) Is this legal in the state? Employee provided plans and individual plans?

I would need additional facts to fully answer this question. I am unaware of any specific Missouri state statute that prohibits this practice; but I have not checked court rulings to see if a Missouri court has extended coverage.
