Not being able to afford a lawyer.

Question Details: I applied for legal aid but was rejected because i will not go to jail if convicted. I was wondering what i should do since i can't afford a lawyer at the moment.

Criminal Defense Law Answers

See if there is a law school nearby to where you live; they typically run free/low cost clinics that handle these type cases.  Also, contact the local Bar Association in in your county.  They may have a list of attorneys who will take your case "pro bono" (for free).
