Insurance Law Law Answers

I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law.  I would need to see your insurance policy to determine that.  the coverage issue will be based on whether the policy covers you on any automobile or whether coverage is limited to your car only.  I suggest that you refer the claim to your insurance carrier.  if they deny the claim, hire a lawyer to review the policy to determine whether you have a good faith basis to sue your carrier for bad faith.  if you carrier will not cover you, you are personally liable for the damages, including the owner.
