Neighbor's tree had a limb that feel on to the hood of my truck
Question Details: The tree sits in my neighbors lawn. But branches from this tree hang over the driveway of the property that I am renting. While parked in the driveway, a branch fell from that tree and put a crater in my hood.

I hope you have comprehensive coverage as part of your car insurance, because that's probably the only source of help you have for the repair cost.
Unless the branch was one that had been obviously dead for at least a year or more, and there's a chance of convincing a court that the neighbor was negligent for failing to have it removed first, it isn't worth the filing fee to sue for this.
