Insurance Law Law Answers

Generally, if a party fails to comply with an arbitration award, you need to notify the arbitrator in writing about the company's noncompliance. The arbitrator will contact the company to find out why it is not complying and perhaps can also convince the company to comply.

If the company refuses to comply with the arbitration award, you may have the right to enforce the award in court or pursue other legal remedies under state or federal law.
