If my spouse and I have been legally separated for over a year and I have now filed a motion to convert our separation to a divorce, what happens at the final hearing?

Question Details:

My spouse does not want a divorce; over a year ago I agreed to a legal separation. I now want a divorce. I filed a motion and now we have a hearing scheduled. What happens if when we get to court he tells the judge he disagrees with everything we agreed upon in the legal separation?

If you cannot stipulate a resolution then obviously the judge has to decide these things for you.
