My son was a passenger in an autombile accident he is 22 his eyebrow was split and recieved stiches he was offer $1000.00 he will have a scar forever
The driver spent the evening in jail for open container he had been drinking. My son asked him repeatedly to stopspinning out on the leaves that were on the road, this is what caused him to lose control. He will have this scar for the rest of his life is $1000.00 compensation enough? This amount does not include the hospital bill

I am a lawyer in CT and practice in this area of the law.  Your son has a serious and permanent injury.  i suggest that you obtain a lawyer immediately to take pictures of the scar and file a lawsuit against the at fault driver.  you will be able to recover up to the amount of the at fault drvier's insurance policy, plus any amount of underinsurance that your son has on his insurance policy.  most lawyers will meet with you for free the first time.  your son deserves more than 1K.
