Question: Criminal Defense - New York

Asked on 7/22/2009
My son is 16 and has been arrested for Robbery 2nd degree, What can happen to him?
My son, 16, first felony. Robbed and punched victim in face, caught, went to precinct where he was coerced into giving a confession. He is now in Youth shelter until his next court date. He was living in Del. with his father and was a juvenile delinquent. NY sent for his rap sheet and although he was a minor and in family court for most petty offences they sent his file.

I am a criminal defense and family law attorney.  Juvenile records are often not sealed until an application is made for that.  It sounds like there are suppression issues involved with this case.  Give me a call to discuss the matter.  It would be my pleasure to speak with you about the case.  Darren M. Shapiro, Esq. 631-882-3140
